Thank you for all your efforts Brint! Without your efforts I and many others would not have emailed legislators regarding this matter. I thought the fix was in, and Williams would get confirmed, but to my great surprise all these efforts paid off.

Pat Williams is clearly very arrogant, and thinks he is smarter than the rest of us. He evidenced very poor judgement in labeling all UM athletes as thugs when only a very, very small minority of athletes have had legal problems. Williams knowingly exagerrated problems hoping to score political points. That is not what a reasonable, mature Regent member overseeing university operations should do.

It all backfired on Pat terribly. Pat Williams should acknowledge this, admit his error in judgement, and take time off and go fishing. Will this arrogant politician do that? Of course not! He is way too arrogant for that. He needs to retire before he embarrases himself further!!!

And I, like you, vote Democratic far more than Republican. This is not about politics. It is about doing what is right.

Senator Lewis was the key legislator that led the confirmation rejection. I would ask those that are thankful for this, to thank the Senator themselves. An email to him using the same system we did before the vote works.

As for Brints involvement in making a difference. There is no doubt in my mind that without his leadership on this issue, Pat Williams would have been confirmed.
