I'm totally psyched for Nguyen!! I have been schocked quite frankly at the lack of chatter/excitement this spring and fall thus far by the fans about Nguyen. Jokingly I don't know if it's because people don't know how to spell his name or what? This kid is a lightning bug and is going to have a great senior season. He came on str ong At the end of last year, big games/runs against msu and North Iowa
The lack of chatter is probably a good thing because usually the only thing anyone talks about is his ball control. Hope he is an asskicker this year though.

Nguyen lost 1 fumble last year. The first punt in the Tenn game. Lost no fumbles his frosh year. The problem year was 2010, when he lost 4 fumbles (lost 3 in two consecutive games). But for the those two games, he's lost only 2 in his career.

Averaged 5.5 yards per carry last year. He's lost some weight this year, so I expect him to be more elusive and hard to tackle this year.

It's impressive that a quiet shy kid can have earned the respect of his teammates to be elected captain. At the Great Griz Encounter when honors candidates where introduced, each player was supposed to take several steps forward and waive. Peter stayed next to his teammates until someone shoved him forward several steps.

I'm very happy for him as well, but lost fumbles and fumbles not lost bring the same amount of scorn. Good luck to him this year.

Nguyen, by far, is my favorite Griz. What a great guy (on and off the battle field).
