Tampa Bay borrows pages from Ducks/Bucs playbooks

The Tampa Bay Devil Rays have emulated the Anaheim Mighty Ducks by dropping the "Devil" from their name in an effort to disassociate themselves with a rather lackluster (at best) history. In the same vein, they are imitating their bay mates the Buccaneers by changing their colors from green and black to a couple of shades of blue. While the Bucs' switch was much more drastic, the Rays hope to have the same results that the changes had for the Bucs and Ducks: world championships.

I doubt that it'll work. It takes on-field talent to win titles, something the Rays haven't had since the Chicken Eater retired.
