take me to "OUR" leader, if we have one

so who is it? who do you look to as the leader(s) of griz athletics?

it isn't engstrom. it isn't delaney. it isn't j.j. that leaves haslam, who we barely know, so it can't be him. do we have a leader?

Why wouldn't it be Delaney? I have a different perspective of leadership here. Sure he wasn't great last year record wise, but you've gotta give him credit for stepping into an extremely difficult situation and keeping the team together. IMO, I see his leadership through keeping these kids focused on representing themselves and the school in a good light on and off the field, and working hard on their academics.

Coach Delaney and AD Haslam ARE the leaders of this team. With all investigations supposedly concluded, all questions as to their ability to perform said jobs should and will be answered/addressed by the end of the 2013 season. I would have mentioned President Engstrom, but how can someone in full retreat be a leader?

And yes, much like 2506, what I don't know fills libraries.

The guys who hire, fire and appropriate funds are the leaders, Royce Engstrom included. I don't think anyone could say that UM athletics hasn't been shaped by Royce Engstrom. Engstrom has had profound influence on UM athletics in the last 18 months. You might not like what's been done, but Engstrom called the shots.

Ok griz4life, I'll buy into the premise of your post. If RE is the leader of UM, than the success or failure of the university is on his shoulders alone. If he turns things around, he gets the credit. If things continue to slide, he gets the blame. That seems fair enough to me.

Yeah, I pretty much think that expectation comes with the job description.

Except it seems that the top of the chain takes credit for success and the bottom of the chain is blamed for failure more times than not... :coffee:

Leader? Hell, we don't have one. Engstrom? He's a reactor and a poor one at that. The best evidence is the sanctions leveled against the Griz program because El Presidente caved in. The guy is jelly in a suit.
