Terrell Owens. This topic is just getting beat to death in the media. I heard Sal Palantonio (sp?) from ESPN report yesterday that the Eagles and T.O. and his agent sat down last year to sign his contract and the Eagles specifically pointed out the up front cash of the contract and that the year 2 salary was "relatively weak". T.O. of course understood, signed and now wants a new contract.

I want E-grizzers thoughts on this circus going on with T.O.
 
Who cares about TO? The guy is whats wrong with athletes today. You see guys like Lance giving athletes a good name and then you see TO with its all about the money. I think Drew Rosenhaus is really behind this. To signed his contract last year with another agent who got the cut of it. Rosenhaus got no money on that wantys TO to get a better contract to get the cut.

I agree - it's all about Rosenhous and his desire to get a big chunk of a new signing bonus. He's doing the same damn thing with Walker up in Green Bay. I hope that neither GM blinks and kills this tactic DOA. If Rosenhous gets his way on these two players, we will see this tactic being used a lot more in the future.
 
As much as I think Rosenhaus is a snake, if I were an elite athlete I would want that guy to represent me. He is the son of Satan but can maximize your earnings.
 
Just watched him rip McNabb, Reid, and the Eagles on recaps from sportscenter. This guy is only about himself, what a joke. Also being a Packer fan I'd like to shove Drew Rosenhaus into moving traffic. (OK I wouldn't really want to physically harm him, but I really dislike that guy.)

I hope the Eagles don't negotiate with him and leave his sorry a$$ on the bench the whole season, in fact just keep him off the feild until his contract is up, that'd be great, no TO for 4 years, nice...

I know it'll never happen but I really wouldn't mind if TO and Randy Moss would just disappear.
 
Randy Moss look like an angel compared to TO these days. To should learn some lessons in class from McNabb. Plain and simple the Eagles and TO are in it together. They can't get rid of the guy.

I loved where TO was working out in his driveway. I forgot thats the big place to work out at. At least Lester from American Beauty has the brains to know that the garage is the workout room.

I'm also a Packer fan and there is nothing wrong with a little well placed physical harm now and again. :wink:
 
Being a Viking fan I wish Javon Walker would listen to his agent more.....Drew has nothing but the best of intentions for Javon :D
 
LOL - are there enough footballs in Oakland for TO and Moss?

We'll see if Rosenhous's tactic was a good one or not. So far it don't look good. He was boo'd on Letterman last week and Dave let him have it pretty good.

If neither Walker or TO get a new contract and have their reputations destroyed in the process, Rosenhous is going to have difficulty attracting new clients. He'll be stuck with clients that don't have large endorsement deals - guys that have to worry about their image. It's looking more and more like he gambled with a high risk-high reward strategy and lost on this one. The NFL will be better for it in the end.

That being said, I don't hate Rosenhous. You can't hate a snake for acting like a snake. He is what he is - a sleazy agent. Baseball has a guy just like that - Scott Boras. Those guys are everywhere.

TO is just a jack-a$$, pure and simple. Aside from his ability to catch a football, he appears to have no redeeming qualities as a human being. What do guys like that do after their playing days or done?
 
What a jackass! Suspended indefinetely. This guy is not leading the Eagles to the Super Bowl. Hell he can't lead them to a Super Bowl party.
 
He's done for the season, probably will never play for the Eagles again.

Peace out TO, now what would be really great is if no one signed him next year.

Although if no body goes after him I know who would, the Raiders or the Vikings.

Nobody in their right mind will offer this guy more than a couple million to play next year. Do you think he's willing to suck it up and play for that much? I think teams will give him offers, but I wonder if he'll take any of them.

He won't be able to help himself. He's a complete and total diva and would shrivel up and die without the spotlight. The dude has some serious issues.
 
I will bet anyone he plays again, there are plenty of stupid GM's and Coaches that think they can handle this dude. Remember Rodman?
 
I bet Rosenhaus and Owens have screwed up enough where he will only be making three million a year instead of five. Way to go T.O. The apology was a day late.
