The Iron County Sheriff’s Office’s website shows 21-year-old Wade Collie was arrested shortly after midnight on Sunday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession with intent to distribute.

The 6’6” forward from Las Vegas was booked into Iron County Jail. He posted $10,000 bail Sunday.

The Spectrum of St. George reports Collie did not play during Southern Utah’s two most recent games due to a knee bruise.

The university issued a statement Monday saying Collie has suspended indefinitely from the team and school officials are looking into the situation.

Montana Regent Pat Williams is quoted as saying, "TheCedar City area has long been a haven for thugs and drugs, and they've recruited far too many of them at that university. I don't believe for a moment that those thugs wear that special underwear for any other reason than to store weapons and drugs. They're probably tear-offs so they're easier to remove when they sexually assault women".
