How good is SUU's defense, really? Three league games and they've given up a TOTAL of 3 points. Massive matching shutouts of Weber and Sac State (44-0), combined with a 30-3 thrashing of UNC to open league play. Now granted, after next week's cake walk against UCD they've got the toughest part of their schedule coming up with league tilts against CP, MSU, PSU & NAU but is there anybody out there that thinks this team is for real? We hear all about PSU but NOTHING about SUU....

I am hearing that there might be a couple of pro prospects on that D. A strong safety and a LB. I don't really follow them but a friend of mine played for SUU.

SDSU put up 55 on them, since then they've play 4 terrible teams. We will find out how good they are in their last 4 games when they actually play someone.

They nearly beat Utah State in a low scoring affair to start the season....I agree though. It'll nice to see what they can do against the pass happy teams.

Not so sure Weber is a terrible team.

Montana was 3-2 and UND was 4-1 when Weber beat them....and Weber is 4-1 in it's last 5 (only loss to SUU). UNC just put up 56 on a UCD team we struggled to beat. Not sure we really know which teams are "terrible"...

SUU's D-end Crowser was selected as a the pre-season defensive MVP and they do have a stud linebacker too, maybe a safety as well? Can't recall - they did have some good defensive players from last year.
