Every other football coach has been referred by as "your good friend" Pease, Phenicie, Germer, Rosey et. al. You are not even a UM alum, so why do you get so involved with UM athletics? Oh, we all know the answer, so you can try to be a big fish in our small pond, name-dropping, bragging. You are so transparent. And even more pathetic. If you only knew what many posters on here really think of you, you wouldn't sleep at night.

I think you are absolutely the worst poster on egriz. Know-it-all, bragging, condescending to everyone, calling posters idiots. Why don't you just go away for awhile, and give the board some respite?

Like it or not, it is donors like hoops who chose to donate their hard earned extra income to university athletics that assists the programs moving forward. Those donors exist in the academic side as well. Those folks donating make it easier for the university to accomplish its goals. I’m grateful for them.

I have donated many thousands to the university general fund, and also to the Excellence Fund, over the years, and continue to do so. What does that make me??? Nothing other than a supporter of my university. I don't brag about it. My point being that there are many significant donors to UM, not just this blow-hard.

Maybe he knows that Engstrom once asked a close relative of mine for a $7 million donation to athletics.

3. My point is who cares about somebody bragging or not? I think hoops is an honest person. I don’t care if you silently give or he talks about it. None of my business how somebody spends their money or how they do or don’t talk about their money. My point is folks that do spend their money on the university make it better and I appreciate them choosing to do so.

I'm a pretty good supporter, but I have never said I was a big donor to UM athletics. Only that I know a lot of the big supporters, one of whom is a close relative. Also said that I was the largest donor to the UM cheerleaders for a number of years, and later the largest donor to the UM dance team. I also helped the dance team raise enough money to go to the conference tourney several years. The bulk of my donations go to Dartmouth and Stanford.

No one has bragged more about how much money they have made or how many donations they've made to UM, than Growler. He used to go on endlessly about how much money he made in medical devices, and also about his Missoula property he has or will donate to UM. Or, how much he could bench press. He used to say he played baseball for UM, even though I don't believe his name appears in the UM red book for baseball. He's a bunch of hot air, at best. The video of him picking his butt at practice, is one of the funniest things I've ever seen on egriz.
