Strait will own the Big Sky next year

Mark it down - Stucky or no Stucky, it doesn't matter. The Big Sky conference will belong to Andrew Strait for the next two years if he shows half the improvement next season that he did this season. Seriously, did anyone imagine he would be this good this fast? He went from being a promising freshman, a la Hasquet, to being a unanimous all-conference selection that garnered attention on a national stage. As mentioned by another poster, I don't think many people thought we'd have this kind of success this season, but most people also did not expect Strait to become the player he has become so quickly. Just imagine what he will do when he moves to his natural position at 4 and has a 7-footer by his side.

Damn it's going to be a long off season.

There's a Sophmore over at EWU that will own the league. Strait will be there in the top 3 scorers though. I think we'll be balanced again with Strait I hope at 20 points a game, Hasquet at 15 points a game, Chase at 12 points a game, and several others at 6-8 points a game.

one guy who'll emerge big-time next year is kyle sharp.

with strait, sharp, hasquet, chavez, van vliet, dhlouy and chase up front and martin, ellis, swift and mayes in the backcourt, there's a good chance all three incoming freshmen will redshirt. at seven feet and 225, vanderjagt needs to fill out a bit.

We are going to so big all over an have little brian ellis taking the ball up the court its gonna make it to be something very interesting to defend..

I think one of the things that made us a dangerous team toward the end of the season is the work this team put in in the weight room. I also think that getting pushed around by BC will make them more motivated.

Strait will definitely be one if not the best low post player in the conference, but I don't see what that has to do with Stuckey.

I think it is impossible to discount Stuckey. He is a stud. We can only hope for a sophomore jinx on him. He is awesome.

Strait is looking to put on 15 pounds of muscle in the offseason and add to his vertical leap. I dont know how anyone in the Big Sky will be able to stop him, no one did this year. Look out for Ellis next year as well, the kid is a pure point guard who makes everyone around him better.

I bet he was talking about BS player of the year or something of that nature....The big sky keeps improving and I love it...!

I don't know about Rundles and Graves redshirting, but Vanderjagt will for sure. Over on another thread, his brother is quoted saying that he weighs 200 lbs. Hopefully it was an old post, and he's never touched a barbell in his life and can add some beef. I'm sure the Food Zoo will help with that.
