Hey, seriously not trying to be a dick here. If he tears up the FCS with this offense I promise I'll be back here to eat crow. I'm just not buying into all the hype and I'm not saying he's going to fail, but this isn't going to be an instant tranformation, magic bullet for the griz as some posters have suggested. I have a few reasons for saying that, but we'll see how things play out. IMO he should be an offensive coordinater. The quite below should probably concern the griz faithful.
"I was a small-college player, and I never had anybody in my entire coaching career call me up and say, 'Hey, you want this job?' I've had to interview and grind for every job I ever got," Stitt said. "This is the first time somebody called me and asked me if I was interested. I've been ready for this for a long time."

Why would you think anyone here would expect you to "buy into the hype"?poorgriz said:grizcountry420 said:Good read.. Thanks for sharing! I can now see why poorgriz thinks he's going to fail at Montana!

That statement has the aroma of pickles...griz5700 said:"I had a local here tell me, 'I'd rather lose 52-51 than win 10-9,'" Stitt said. "That tells you how people feel about offense."
I'd say 99% of fans disagree with that.. But ok, coach.

Stitt has said multiple times that he needs to be both OC and HC to run this offense. He cant have a HC telling him no in certain situations. He has been offered OC job's in the past.PlayerRep said:griz5700 said:"I had a local here tell me, 'I'd rather lose 52-51 than win 10-9,'" Stitt said. "That tells you how people feel about offense."

I agree. What kind of fan would ever want to lose a game rather than win a game? Personally, I like defensive battles, even better than offensive battles. Great article, though. Has good substance in it. By the way, I think Stitt was receiving multiple calls regarding jobs, both OC and head coach, in recent years. Perhaps not offers, but at least inquiries.
