The pollsters were somewhat kinder to New Hampshire than the coaches, who dropped New Hampshire out of the top-25. I haven't had time to compare this to my guesses, but at least I had that right.

I do not understand how Weber can still be in top 20..

They are the new UNI...but seriously, even at 1-3 based on who they have played, I think they are probably still better than the other teams at the bottom of the top 25.

Who knows what's in the mind of a pollster? They hate to admit they might have been wrong in their earlier votes. The pollsters were, in fact, one spot kinder to Weber they I was … I had them dropping to #20. All things considered, I did amazingly well with my guesses. That was one of the twenty-one I got within ±1 of the actual poll ranking.

I did miss the extra jump they gave UC-Davis … I moved them up just two spots, while the pollsters bumped them all the way to #8. Well deserved, IMO, but I did not really expect it.

As expected, the bigger misses came down at the bottom. I had Monmouth, Central Arkansas, and Richmond dropping out of the top-25. The pollsters agreed on the first two, but kept Richmond in, dropping Austin Peay instead. (I obviously failed to account for enough CAA bias.) We did agree on the replacements, however: Rhode Island, UT Martin, and Incarnate Word. Not bad! And way better than I expected to do.

Many of their players are rumored to serve on the same PTA boards as the voters. Not sure if true, but the timeline checks out and it could explain a lot.

Agreed, I actually watched a bit of UT Martin game. They are a really solid team and better than Weber IMO. A 1 win team 4 weeks in is not a top 25 team, yet alone a top 20.
