STATS FCS Poll, Nov 11 (Griz #10)

The pollsters treated the Griz one spot better than I was willing to … trying to avoid homey bias. With that, they kept four Big Sky teams in the Top-10. They were also slightly kinder to SE Missouri State than I expected. On the other hand, they did drop William & Mary … which allowed Northern Arizona to slide into the Top-25 (more approval of the Big Sky).

I would say overrated, but outside of the Dakota schools, the whole division is overrated.

Well their #10 badge will be put to the test this weekend against PSU. If the ranking is legit then a solid win and move on the Brawl. Otherwise ....??

When 1-9 PSU rolls into Wagriz this week and either wins or keeps it real close, then extent of how far this team has fallen will be revealed. I don’t mind watching FCS football when the Griz product is good, but when the Griz are hust downright bad I feel a little silly getting so wrapped up in the outcomes of what amounts to a bad D2 football game….heres hoping the Griz can keep it close the weekend against the 2nd or 3rd worst team in the league….im sure it’s going to be a real pillow fight

Only dropped 3. Got lucky.
Actually, a drop of just 3-4 spots is absolutely normal, not "lucky," after a loss to a highly ranked opponent. Example: Rhode Island dropped just four spots after losing to transiting Delaware, which the pollsters have been rating as a ranked FCS team.

Nah, we lost to the number 4 team in the country. Its pretty fair. Its not like we got upset, here. I'm frustrated by it, but this was a loss against a top 4 team. They aren't going to drop us below teams like Rhode Island or Stony Brook for that.

Keep it factual. PSU is 2-7 with wins over ISU and SacSt.

Griz have a definite grip on 4th Place in the BSC. The words coming out of my mouth taste like vomit. Shades of the Delaney-Stitt era.
