West has been using a ton of full court presure for the games I have watched. They were trapping Sentinel all game long. That really slows the games down and it's hard to get any offensive flow going.
IMO it's a combination of both good defense and very average offense.
And of course that is exactly what West wanted to do because that gave them success in this tourney. It was to their advantage because of their athleticism on the perimeter and also having 3 good players on the bench able to spell them.
One other comment on the poor shooting... besides the poor offensive flow. Both of my sons played high school ball (for West) on that floor, and they'll tell you how hard it is to shoot there because of the background. It's like shooting in the middle of a cave. The depth perception is different because most BB arenas have a wall right behind the basket. This negatively affects the shooting eye.
