with joslyn on board, stanford's next target was the number three recuit in the county and the top-rated point guard, skylar diggins out of indiana. she'd narrowed her choices to stanford, penn state and notre dame, but yesterday picked notre dame. i'm sure this was a blow to tara, who is loaded with bigs but clearly lacked the athleticism to cope with tennessee in last year's championship game.
on the national level this is all a moot point anyway, because starting next year, nobody is going to touch baylor. their recruiting has just been off the charts, including britney griner, a 6'7" post player touted as perhaps the best woman player ever. oh, and their coach is kim mulkey, former star point guard at louisiana tech who already has one national championship in the bag at baylor, so there's no question she can coach the talent.
