Commenting on the Stand up D line was simply Choate taking the opportunity to make Stitt and Semore look bad on camera. Too much has been made of it. It is employed by many teams on passing downs to confuse blockers as to who is rushing and who is dropping. It is used by many NFL defenses as well. What Choate didn’t say was that his QB couldn’t throw it in the ocean from a bridge and that there was no such thing as an obvious passing down with his team last year. They were looking to run on every down regardless of distance and that was Semore’s mistake, assuming they would pass on long yardage situations.

Yep was STUPID to do it against Murray.....bailed his inability to throw with easy run blocking. Let's hope Semore has learned how to defend him and isn't too stubborn and arrogamt to change after last year's schooling
