Hello,
I got permission from Chris to make an announcement for the Grizzly Marching Band's upcoming Stadium Echoes concert. Last year's concert was great and we hope to improve it each year. We will play music from our halftime shows as well as tunes from the stands. The date is February 2nd at 7:30pm in the Dennison Theatre. (formerly University Theatre which is what I still end up calling it) The purpose of this concert is to give Griz fans another chance to hear the band but we also hope that proceeds from the concert will help us purchase new equipment. Click the photo below for more information. I hope you can make it!

Dr. Griggs, I'm not much of a band guy but you guys are pretty damn good. Keep up the good work. :thumb:

Thanks for the compliment GRZFTBL....it's always nice to hear that we're making a positive contribution. As for the spring game, we roll things up with the marching band after football season ends and switch over to pep band. (Except for getting one more chance to play as a group at Stadium Echoes) The band doesn't exist again until August when we kick things off for a new season. I guess that's the long version of saying that it would be fun to participate but we don't have a group at that point.

I will be there! My two favorite parts of game day are the march through the tailgates on campus drive and thr 3rd quarter gigs on the second level under the north end zone. The acoustics under there are wicked! :thumb:

We have not offered CD's of the band for sale because of copyright laws on the music. I will look into the licensing costs and see if it something we can do in the future.

I hope many of you are able to attend the concert tomorrow night. We have several special guests performing with us and it should be a great evening.
