Fans and alumni of the University of Montana are invited to the 2017 Annual Banquet of the Sidney Chapter of the Grizzly Scholarship Association on Wednesday, May 24th at the Sidney Country Club.
Come out and support the Griz and enjoy a dinner and silent auction starting at 6 p.m. An 18-hole golf scramble will also be held that day with a no-host lunch at 11 a.m. and golf at 1 p.m.
UM officials will be sharing information about the new Washington-Grizzly Champions Center, slated to open in the fall of 2017, as well as updates on all UM Athletic Programs. UM Athletic Director Kent Haslam, Griz Football Coach Bob Stitt, and GSA Executive Director Greg Sundberg will headline the program. Sidney’s own Jordan Sullivan, the new Director of Basketball Operations for the Lady Griz, will be providing details on the women’s basketball program.
The cost for the May 24th event is as follows:

*Golf Only - $65
*Dinner and Golf - $100
*Hole Sponsor - $150 (Includes dinner/golf for 1)
*Corporate Sponsor - $300 (Includes dinner/golf for 2)

The event is sponsored by the Sidney Chapter of the Grizzly Scholarship Association. The Sidney GSA’s mission is to raise funds to support scholarships for Montana Grizzly athletes, many of whom have come from Sidney and surrounding communities. Sidney High School senior Brian McGinnis will be attending UM this fall on a combined academic and athletic scholarship as a member of the Griz football team. Culbertson High School’s Shayne Cochran is a redshirt-junior linebacker for the Griz and will see lots of playing time for the Griz this season. Redshirt-freshman Gresch Jensen, son of 1983 SHS graduate and football player Mike Jensen, will be competing for the starting quarterback position when fall camp commences in August.
