Sportscenter #1 and #2 plays of the night!!!

My problem is when better than 1/2 of a thread turns into GRIZ fans verses ZAG fans and nothing but banter that accomplishes ZERO!!! If the posts contributions stick to basketball I like reading the posts. When GRIZ fans and ZAG fans stay on course it makes for a good and interesting threads. The sad part is that it is only a matter of time before someone starts something with someone on one side or the other. AS far as I am concerned ZAG fans are welcomed to post here if they stick to basketball.

Keep in mind they are every bit as proud of their basketball team as we are of our football team. It is something for them to brag about and take delight in. GOD knows we are viewed the same way by other FCS fan bases in football. Hard to argue or not respect what Gonzage has accomplished the last decade plus. I think their program is what the GRIZ should inspire to be like. With some luck we will get there with time. :thumb:

There is something wrong with this board when the top 4 out of 7 threads are about Gonzaga and the top 2 posters are diehard Zag fans.

As both a Griz and Zag fan myself, I every once in a while stop at their board http://www.guboards.spokesmanreview.com/ for the scoop. Unlike the two that post here, most of their fans seemed pretty fond of the Griz and think we'll see some success this year.

A thread like this was clearly created with the intent to aggravate fans. There are a few other Gonzaga threads, I don't think a new one needed to be created :twocents: . Most Griz fans were smart enough to ignore it, not me. But as a Zag fan I just have to say, this is embarressing. Get over yourselves Lou and CDA and represent the Zags with a little more decency. And as a Griz fan, I feel no tention between the Zags and us, so what's the point of rubbing a win in our face? Northwest hoops - we're all friends here, we're all rooting for each other. Let's save the hate for the East Coast.

Again, I wasn't rubbing the win in your face. These two dunks occurred last night against Idaho....? And I know that there are Zag fans on this site as well and this is why I wanted to share with with those that didn't see it on Sportscenter last night. And as a Zag fan this shouldn't be "embarrassing" because it should make you proud to see your team make it to a big stage, like the top ten on Sportscenter.

Then go to the Vandals board and talk it up there. You keep trying to act like you don't know what the objection to your constant posts are and you already know.

I agree with mtgrizrule about sticking to basketball. I think the reason these threads degenerate is because there are a few posters who can't resist clicking on them and saying how they shouldn't be here. In this thread, for example, neither Lou or myself have posted since the first page (before this one, of course). You guys who don't want them here are the ones perpetuating their existence. (when you tell us that we are horrible human beings, the thread still goes to the top of the page).

We all know that GU BB has a place on this board, if you don't like the fact that the threads are more numerous and/or popular than Griz threads, don't click on them/post in them. Instead, you guys should all post about your team to keep us up to date. (believe it or not, I really root for the griz, since they are not on TV where I live, this is my only way to know anything beyond the box score). Likewise, Lou and I will continue to keep those who are interested in GU BB up to date as well.

Stop attacking us and thinking there is a hidden meaning to everything. When I post something positive about the Zags, it doesn't mean that I am saying anything negative about the griz. If you don't like it, don't click on the thread. In return, I'll continue to keep all of my posts BB related until someone spouts off again.

I never put down the Griz, all I did was say that it was cool for a Northwest Team to get the top two spots on plays of the night.......Just because I say something positive about the Zags doesn't mean I'm putting down the Griz. Just like CDA I root for the Griz in every game that they play, except for one, all year. There is no hidden agenda in my posts. All my posts are up front and mean exactly what they say.
