I don't go to the scrimmages so I don't know if this is something that is usually practiced by now.
In the days of Bobby Ball, we would dominate teams on Kickoff and Punting returns and coverage. There were lots of games won by returns for TDs or at least great field position.
Things dropped off when we got the Pflu, especially his first year. We had lots of turnovers and miscues, especially on punt returns.
I know that it takes time to run and practice these plays and setting up a new offense with a new QB or two, takes up a lot of practice time, but I haven't read on any of the scrimmage reports about special teams except for punting and field goal plays.
Is there time given to kickoffs and punt returns and if so,how do they look?
