Sox take 3-4 from the Ms but I see some positives

While having not so everyday-Eddie & Putz blow the game late today sucks, I'm seeing some postive play from the Ms.

Beltre had a good day after being dropped to 7th in the order, and the Ms are getting very good play from some of their "younger" guys like Lopez, Gonzales, YuBet & Jojima. The middle relief has stunned me with how well they've been pitching also. The clutch hitting has been better this year, and the fielding (despite Adrians 3 error day on Sun) has been fairly solid. Ibanez is having a great start as well!

If you look at the whole 4 game series the Ms scored just as many runs as the Sox, 12.

If Beltre, Sexson and Ichiro can get their BA up then this team can become pretty good!

I will be at the Detroit game on Friday. Hopefully Shelton will have cooled off by then (he hit HR #9 today)

Hargrove has got to start showing some emotion out there. The play yesterday when Sexson tagged Varitek only to have the ump call him safe was a situation screaming for a manager to get tossed. You just can't let the umps get away with that crap. Pinella would have spit on the guy, kicked dirt on his shoes and made disparaging comments about the guy's wife, mother and dog.

Yes, they do look better than they did in the Oakland series but I still don't see them winning more than half their games. I'm hoping for Hargrove to get fired at the ASB and then for Piniero, Meche, Eddie, Everett and Lawton to get dealt at the trade deadline. This rebuild is taking way too damn long because the M's refuse to just get on with it, dump the vets and go with the young players. I'm getting sick of it.

And if Rick Rizzs keeps up with the man-crush on Willy-F'ing-Bloomquist, I'm going to lose it.
