If you want respect you've got to find it outside of the perennially weak BSC...
The Griz had the 24th best non-conference SOS in the country. What exactly do you think the AD did wrong with our scheduling?
Seriously man, every year you start this crap about the Griz having no chance ever in the tournament, never will, they suck, always are going to get embarassed, will always be a 16 seed, etc etc... You seem to actually ignore facts like how the Griz put up a very good fight against New Mexico, 1 seed Washington, beat Nevada, and also have been a 16 seed only 1 time in the past 5 NCAA trips
This time you seem to be ignoring that the Griz had a VERY tough out of conference schedule. The Griz have had a top 100 non-conference SOS every year for the past 4 years. This year's being 24 just like the 2012-2013 season we had the 24th best non-conference strength of schedule in the country.
The AD is doing the right thing giving the Griz very tough non-conference schedules. We need more of the Big Sky teams to do the same (Sac and PSU always have weak non conference schedules for example). That's how teams like Gonzaga and their conference made progress. Schedule the tough games...like the Griz have been doing lately.
The AD doesn't schedule basketball games. The head basketball coach does. The AD only does the football schedule. If the AD did the scheduling for basketball it would be tougher for all schools. Coaches try to schedule wins in pre-conference so they can keep their jobs.
Agree for major conference coaches. If a UM coach does this, he is not playing the long game.
