Someone in Missoula update me on..........

Ben Roberts. I am wondering, I have not seen him listed in MAV boxscores the last month or so. Did he get injured? Did he drop baseball to pursue basketball and/or football? I really hope he is not injured. He is a great kid and great athlete. He will be JR this school year and should be getting some attention in both basketball and football.

Any updates would be appreciated.

Ben had a stress fracture which apparently occurred in basketball in his hand. Not sure how, but that is what apparently happened. From what I understand, it started to deteriorate, and surgery was needed to preserve the bone. He opted to have surgery sooner than later, so is out for the season for baseball. He should be good to go for football, basketball and baseball next year.

I am pretty sure he will be playing baseball next year. In my opinion, it is his best sport, and everything I have heard indicates that he will be back. He was selected to play on a pretty neat travel team this fall if he would have been healthy.

Thanks for the update, and good to hear he will be okay. In the next few years he will have some tough decisions to make as to which sport he will play. Selfishly, I want to see him follow in his mother's footsteps and play basketball. However, he is a phenomenal baseball player, and all state football. He will have offers in each sport.

Any idea as to which sport he is leaning toward now or what programs are paying him attention yet? I have no doubts he is on many baseball radars from playing legion and playing with the outlaws before the MAVS. As for basketball and football, hard to know who outside of Montana may have him on their radars.
