Sneed being top Steed....

Wondering whether Dalton will make it through the non-conference to Big Sky play without a serious injury if he continues to be UM's number one running back.... Lots of exposure to injury due to the number of times he's been flushed out of the pocket so far this year. With that said if the Griz utilized a pocket passing QB, he'd probably already be out with an injury and on the bench.... Dalton flushing the broken down pocket has turned out to be the Griz's saving grace for the productivity he's turned in so far on offense...but what at what cost? Western Ill has a very physical defense. How long can the Griz ride Dalton as their number one running back before the obvious happens??

I think it was two games, but of course that doesn't mean Bobby can't voluntarily extend it beyond two games...

It was officially two games (https://missoulian.com/406mtsports/college/big-sky-conference/university-of-montana/griz-running-back-jeremy-calhoun-suspended-for-two-games-on/article_b1cc6af8-9724-5cad-b9b8-cb24cad1c63e.html) but that still doesn't mean he's going to see the field this weekend. As you and others have said, Jeremy could be in the doghouse for awhile.

Lee has barely seen the field in two games & Green got a series or two in mop up duty. Bobby doesn’t seem to be too keen about pulling Eastwood off the field. Unless Calhoun is being counted on for special teams or has a hugely impressive week of practice - I’m not sure he travels @ all.

When a QB is the leading rusher, there's usually a problem with the running game. I've been sorry not to see more of Lee or Green, and definitely hope Calhoun will play a large part in the weeks ahead. I fully realize the o-line is a problem, but I've not been impressed with Eastwood's ability to find/look for a hole -- he appears to just run straight into the middle of the line, no matter what.

Great to have some depth in qb rotation

As noted by others his running for his life routine will end poorly and .....next up!

While I won't dispute your overall point, his long (37 yards) TD run midway through the 3rd quarter was an exception. For a change, an actual running lane (hole) opened up on the left side. Eastwood made a quick sideways moved, then burst through the hole and was gone. If the Griz had more of that, they'd have an actual running game. But the sad reality is that that one play accounted for almost a third of UM's rushing yardage. :(

And the one time he DIDN'T do that, he broke free for a long TD.

Well he's a tough kid. Even a running QB needs to keep their grades up so they are eligible to play. He's got that part down at least.

This strategy seems to be working out well for the Bobcats...…...Oh, wait, never mind!

I like it when they go five wide and pull the running back out to spread the defense out. Sneed can at least see where the pressure is coming from and it gives him another guy to throw the ball to. He is very good at making the first guy miss and if he gets going up the sidelines watch out!

I think Sneed throws pretty well on the move. Love to see the rollouts. Gives him lots of options. I was also happy to see the Griz take a few shots down field. Helps keep the safeties honest.
