Cat o-line sizes from a prior Cat post:

"This year the line should be Moore (6’5” 306), Wehr (6’4” 292), Sain (6’4” 292), Perkins (6’ 282), Reed (6’3” 277), then transfers- Samora Ezekiel (North Texas so. 6’2” 270) and Dylan Rollins (6’6” 295 4 years of eligibility)"

[Cats average about 290. And 6'3". So, only Air Force and San Jose were smaller last year in FBS, and Air Force has academy size standards that impede bringing in huge guys. And they have a run offense that uses the smaller quicker o-linemen. Looks like the Cats are doing the same thing. Nevertheless, the Cat o-line is small. That doesn't mean they aren't good.]

Updated Cat OL weights:

Moore: 310
Wehr: 300
Perk: 290
Reed: 290
Sain: 300

Current backups on the 2-deep are 300, 290, 300, 315, 300.

Size don’t matter if it can’t move. Top tier FBS schools can get those freaks that are huge and can move. Less likely to see that at the FCS level. Obviously always some few exceptions, but not many.

Those are last years numbers.

100% agree and that's been my point all along. I was just sharing the updated numbers for where the players came in for Fall Camp. PR posted several times about how tiny the Bobcat OL was, which doesn't appear to be the case. I posted several times - I care zero about how big they are as long as they are tough, smart, and can move. They could all be 270 for all I care.

You’re still off base. A good OL needs girth. Eventually technique isn’t enough, especially when you play schools like the Dakotas. 270 is generally too small to be effective against really good DL.

I never said the Cat o-line was tiny last year. I said they were on the small side for a top FCS team, and they were, and I proved it. The Cat o-line is bigger this year. In this and similar threads, I said nothing about how good the Cat o-line was. I said they were a bit undersized, and they were. Why do you some of you have to argue about something I never said. Jeez, you guys are either stupid or can't read.

I'd rather have an o-line that was good, rather than tough, smart and can move. And back to the title of the article I found, "size matters".

Looks like gogriz has updated weights. The top eight OL players average 299.
Seems like starters are 290-305 ish with Brown being 317? Is Brown played center, thought I heard he was getting action there? Why stick the heaviest dude at center?
