Signing day

Today is the first day in the fall or early signing period. The Griz men I beleive have three commits but of the four Montana D-1 programs they are the ones that I feel I have nailed down as far as knowing firm commits. Is a list of commits that we know of, but also keep an eye out for high schoolers Jordan Reetz and Kareem Jamar and JC guard Francisco Cruz. These are three guy's who i have heard rumored to have both taken official vists to Missoula as well as short listed the griz. On the womens side the Lady griz should/have sign all five of the scholarships today.

Montana Men:

SG – Vaughn Autry 6-2 Junipero Serra high school California
SF – Michael Weisner 6-7 Walla Walla high school Washington
PF – Billy Reader 6-8 Lake Oswego high school Oregon

Montana Women:

SG – Torry Hill 5-8 Anaconda high school Montana
SG – Lexi Nelson 5-7 Butte high school Montana
SG – Kellie Cole 5-8 Bozeman high school Montana
PF – Jordan Sullivan 6-1 Sidney high school Montana
C – Carly Selvig 6-2 Glendive high school Montana

Hey Cat,

How many slots do the Griz have to fill?

Kareem Jamar and JC guard Francisco Cruz look like good finds.
Jordan Reetz facebook makes him look like a punk.

Well that is a sore subject, because I keep screwing it up! I beleive the Griz will have 5 scholarships. 4 seniors plus Woods scholarship. Did i get that right folks.

UM and/or MSU have not announced anything yet, but I do have some updates on around the league on my blog plus I am checking out the commits local papers for info.

Hey Payton,

Not sure how you can describe someone as a punk by looking at their facebook page. I can say that statement makes you look like an idiot.

But as a friend and teammate of Jordan, I will be the first to come to his defense. Jordan is no way a punk. He is a great friend that gets along with everyone. He is a small town country boy who is very quiet and humble. I guarantee everyone would love him as a teammate.

Payton, I am sure your facebook page makes you look like an angel.

wow do you think you can make any noise outside the Big Sky with only signing Montana Girls or is this a great HS class in Montana? It seems to reflect more of a limited recruiting budget than any thing else to me.

I think you have a very good coach who is very limited by his budget and conference.

I have posted a complete list - well as complete as I could make it - 18 Big Sky programs (men's + women's) signings for the early period. With the exception of Weber State and Northern Colorado (men's) all of my info has come from official school press releases. The previous mentioned schools did not seem to want to announce theirs yet so maybe they might add to that list.

You can find the lists here

Anthony Johnson sure looks every bit as good as Stuckey. Hasn't scored under 20 this season. Where is that production going to come from next year? Staudacher gone too. Passing is great, athleticism is great, defense is great, ball handling is great, but you can't win without putting the ball through the orange steel hoop.
