How did the Griz commits perform? Did anyone watch?

I watched for a bit (then some news story cut off coverage, and I switched channels)... Merek Mihelish looked pretty good for UM signees. Loved the way he kept his eyes down field. The defense on both sides really played well. Luke Oxarart stood out for MSU signees. Strong runner, and hit the corner fast. Always hard to tell in these games, with only a week of prep for all the athletes.

Didn't Merek Mihelish switch to Tech? Griz projected him as safety or corner and he wanted to play quarterback and backed out of his commitment. Correct me if I am wrong. Either way his is an accomplished athlete.

Mihelish flipped to Tech to play QB. I watched the whole game (aside from news report break away) and as far as Griz commits I thought Chase Cook from Red Lodge looked very good.

The big winners of the game are all the Montana kids and their families that receive world-class orthopedic care for free at the Shrine Children's Hospital in Spokane--the Montana East-West Shrine game has been a major fundraiser for that hospital since 1947 !!!

Attendance was very good. Westside stands were packed, wind out of the west. Eastside is for high schoolers, et al, about half full. Solid play of either offense and defense.
