I thought the East's MVP Chad Newell was the gem of the game. He ran HARD, with passion. :thumb:
Loved when he absolutely TRUCKED that Butte kid for a touchdown :thumb:

I don't remember the kids number or name but when he was getting up off the ground I looked him up in the program and he was from Butte

Shaw is up there under alternates. Which Butte kid did Newell truck?
He was a db or saftey I think, I don't remember but I looked up who he was in the program at the time.

The highlight on the tv news doesn't really show it since it was on the other side of the formation from the camera.

Josiah Clairmont, Polson is going to Northern, as is Tyler Lott, TB, Joey DeVries, Havre, and Brandon Hammond of Harlem.

Casey Schaub is going to Rocky, and just to clarify, Riley King is playing basketball for Carroll, not football.

Thanks for the updates! And ya i forgot to put Riley King down for bball at Carroll sorry for the confusion.
and i was gonna say I didnt think it was a Butte kid that got trucked at safety because Kasperick was playing safety and he is a tough nosed kid, he does the hitting he dont take it lol, gonna be a great addition at Tech

Sorry for sounding a little pompous (after reading my post a day later). :thumb:

It was 1st Team Class AA All-State Safety #25 Beau Hanson from Butte that Newell stiff armed to the ground in the open field on Newells near break-a-way jaunt. The trucking Newell gave on the goal-line was to the CB, Capital HS's Michelotti, for his touchdown. Now that goal-line I'm going to put my shoulder down and run right over your was a true trucking.

But to Beau's defense, that was a terrific tackle. Anybody that has played safety, or coached the secondary will tell you that. The hardest thing in football is open field tackling head-up from a distance. Beau did exactly what he was coached to do, pursue the hip from the inside-out (break-down if necessary) to the sideline. Beau was smaller that Newell, yet he still went high for the tackle (not dive at his leggs) like a man. Newell to his credit just made a great RB play, a tough play, with a very stong siff-arm. And as well to Hanson's credit, his held waas snapped back but he held on (would not be denied) and brought the strong runner in Newell to the ground. Great run, also a great tackle. :D

Butte Central's Kasperick had a nice INT return. He'll do well at Tech.

Yep, I agree he stayed with it and latched on like your suppossed to do. If the play occured away from the endzone he would have brought him down for a 3 yard gain while being undersized. I give both players props.

Ya you always know those Butte kids are gonna come out and play with everything they got....just like the phrase...."Butte Tough".....but yes i believe Kasperick will be a great addition for Tech who I believe is the dark horse in the Frontier Conference with all the talent they are bringing in VIA recruits and transfers. But they face a tough early schedule but bring EOU and Carroll into Butte for the first two games. 2-0 there would be HUGE but 1-1 is good also. Western looks to make some noise with good wins last year and close losses. EOU cant get over the hump and get into the playoffs, Carroll is Carroll, SOU will be tough with Tim Tebow's ex high school coach, Dickinson is kind of unknown but won 0 games against the Frontier last year, Rocky is always a contender but choked last year down the stretch big time, Northen returns a lot of talent and will be a contender also. Tech, Western, and Northern bring a good recruiting class to their teams this year.

League Champ: Carroll
Dark Horses: Tech, Northern
League MVP: Chance Demerais RB Carroll (as long as he makes it out of the PSU game ok) 2011 - 1805 rush yds 21 tot tds
Player You Need To Know: Pat Hansen RB Tech (got robbed of 2nd team all american and 1st team all conference last season) 2011 - 1383 rsh yds 14 tot tds (4 - 200+ yd games) -as a frosh
