Shoulder pads

OK. EGRIZ nation, tell me why the shoulder pads I'm seeing this season in pros and college are so...well, shrimpy. I mean they just don't look big and bad ass and brawny. I noticed it most obviously in the GRIZ-ISU game and while their uniforms look horrid anyway, it seemed like their equipment budget had gotten cut and they found something from a local jr. high. Can someone explain the new look?

Here is an article about it, but in short, the smaller shoulder pads are better designed and allow more movement.

I come from rugby and understand that football is more of a collision sport but really the shoulder padding had got a bit out of hand. If you want brawny and bad ass (which probably helps with DOLA, lol) some of the old He-Man cartoons or WWE attitude era shows might be helpful.

Why not? A vintage Volvo is just like a Grizzly bear... tough and durable. But living in the Flathead Valley, none of these so-called mechanics know how to fix anything unless it is a Ford or Chevy pickup. You mention Volvo to them and they think it is part of a woman's anatomy.

Go GRIZ. Go Volvo.

And they think more highly of the latter than the former.

All good, bud! You keep that old Swede running. I think there's a pretty good shop in Polson. Zootown has some brainy guys too.
