I have no inside info on whether Selvig is recruiting this young Lady, but I do have friend who have been closely involved with the Lady Griz program, and what I will tell you, is that Selvig is almost completely cut off from the women's JC world. If you were to ask him what did he think of this Big Sky teams recruiting class he would comment on the high school kids, and then say "I have no idea about the JC recruits I don't follow the Junior Colleges" I have heard that comment about 50 times fro the Griz program. Now all that said if you were to suggest a JC kid to Selvig and could get him to look at them I sure he would be able to evaluate the talent pretty quick if this a women who could play for him.
On a someone related note, I would not hesitate, if you think you know of a kid who deserves a look at by the a Griz coach, to drop that coach a brief respectful note with some pertinent info. Name, size, position, school, coach stats, and in the case of high school kids even what AAU team they may have played for or even Y-tube video. Now remember they do get a of info on recruits, and the NCAA does not allow them to comment on prospective recruits so if they answer with a simple "Thank you" do not be offended, they are a little bit tied to what they can do/say about potential recruits. You would be surprised though how many recruits at the Big Sky level get their start from a booster/ alum. emailing a coach, to tell him about a potential player. In today's recruiting world coaches have access to recruiting databases that put Rivals and Scouts databases to shame. Given a name /team they can research a lot of info on a player real quick.
