Someone please provide some sort of report here as to the atmosphere and the players/coaches reaction and thoughts, etc.

I was at this event for the last 2 selection shows when the GRIZ were in the NCAA tourney. The place went nuts and electric when they announced us and Nevada. The GRIZ knew that was a great matchup for them. I hope for the same this year.

That year the GRIZ were very consistent, but this year's team is deeper, better defense, and better post presence. If the offense shows up, we can again pull an upset.

I urge anyone in Missoula to attend. The atmosphere is great, and for those who have not met the players and/or coaches, it is a great time to do so. They are a great group and will be very friendly and appreciative.

i like this team as much as the Criswell/strait team, but depth is not this year's forte. HUGE drop off once you get past AJ, DS, BQ, and WC.

I like our depth at the 1-3 positions, but beyond Selvig and Qvale, we really hurt for big depth. Sorry, but Banny and Jack get killed by many top prorams at the 4. Ward might be a better 3 option as for size and offense. So much hinges on Qvale and Selvig being healthy and out of foul trouble.

As for the guards and SF, as long as either Cherry or AJ can man PG we are fine. If both are out of the game................OUCH!!!!!!!!!!

I really do think Young playing well is key. Athletically and talent wise if he plays to potential the GRIZ get a huge boost. Young just has to believe he can do it, and it would be wise for Tinkle to tell him he does not have to look over his back. Just play ball young man. :thumb:

No watch party in Denver?

Hard to believe there won't be a gathering at Brooklyn's Invesco Field...a little more intimate than the Pepsi Center venue?
