Selection criteria for the playoffs

What were we seeded in '95? 6th? At best, one home game, maybe two if seedings played out? And what happened? Home games all the way to Marshall.......

How about '99? I want to say we were seeded 8th with a home game against Youngstown State. What happened? We lost by 3, but all top seeds on our side of the bracket lost - Youngstown State had home games the rest of the way-it coulda been us.

SO.....anything can happen - and personally, I'll worry about all that Saturday after 5 p.m. We have business to take care of prior to that.

Griz were seeded 6th in 1995. Luckily some teams seeded higher in Griz's bracket lost.

Anyway, I think we all should start worrying more about this weekend than worrying about whether the team will be a top 4 seed or not. I mean, afterall, the Griz have to play one game at a time. With the number of posts and threads about where the team will be placed in past couple of days, it is a sure sign of fans looking ahead, when they shouldn't.

But all this talk of our seeding position is really pissing off the Cat fans! There isn't any other subject we could talk about that would PISS THEM OFF MORE.

True Griz...I know the players need to stay focused on the Bobcats...and they are and for the most part us fans are pretty worked up over the 'Cats. But fans, and not players can afford to look ahead and play some what-if games. And besides Ronbo is right..we are pissing the 'Cats off. Anything that pisses off the 'Cats is alright.

Very true, but nobody really will know the answers to all the questions brought up until Sunday.

True fact, there is really no written criteria for choosing top 4 seeds. the written criteria is for choosing the 16 teams in playoffs which is the first thing they do. After that, anything is just everybodies guess. And that is basically what everybody has been doing so far.

And anyway, why would you want to piss off your enemy? Isn't a pissed off enemy more dangerous and cantankerous than a subdued enemy?

Um, I guess so, but I really don't believe that the smack and whatever else that flies around here really gets seen by the "enemy". I do hope that the Cat team is wasting their time reading this board, but I think this is mostly read by the fans. Now, do I want to piss off the 'Cats fans? I don't know. On the one hand, I feel a certain pity...they are afterall fellow Montanans...salt of the earth like the rest of us. On the other hand, by birth or by choice they are cast into the miserable lot of interminable Bobcat losing. In that respect they deserve no mercy.

So I guess if the 'Cat fan's get all pissed off because we are discussing what greatness lies ahead for the Griz after the Griz dispatches them and puts an end to their season of suffering....well, I guess we can't really be expected to walk around here on eggshells just because the 'Cats don't deserve to be in the playoffs.
