Hey I thought our secondary played well today. The short pass which kept killing us is almost impossible to defend if you have a good qb that can throw it and they do. They defended the long ball all day and came up in what little run support was needed.

Keep telling yourself that fanofzoo. Maybe it will help take the "sting" out of falling to 1-3 in conference.

When the corners start 10-15 yards back, you're practically giving the other team a first down every single time. And that's what the Griz defense has been doing all year long. It drives me crazy!!

SUU had third and longs all day that they completed because of the backing off. It is why our secondary is so poor. We are giving and other teams are taking it. Also They run bubble screens and they get 7 or 8 yards. We run them and at best get 2 yards. We supposedly invented (Read) the pass but no longer know how to execute it and certainly can't defend it.

Yep they could run 5 yd outs all day and have nearly a 100% completion percentage on them when our corners line up 10 yds off the LOS.

How about playing up and bumping the receivers a bit so they can't get out on those little out passes. 95% or more of their plays are designed for the 2-step drop and throw. But seriously, 20 points?

OUR DBS DID GOOD TODAY. Way better than at the first light. Denard was super. No we did not man up but the DC sees it that way. I did not see our D losing the game. The O was lack luster, and our special teams were a disaster. I blame it on coaching Special Teams and in tern comes to head man, Mick
! Pear anyone?
