Sawyer Racanelli is playing for Wake Forest right now

Besides Griz Addict, everyonne else agrees that Racanelli was not missed. He's not 5x better than Bohannon. That ludicrous. He had 0 catches in 6! games for Wake. He was a non-factor. He had 30 catches last year for the Griz, Bohannon had 38 this year,so, uh, I don't know how anyone can say Racanelli was 5x better.
I dunno.

5x better is ridiculous, but if you offered me both of them straight up, although they're pretty similar players, I'd probably take Racanelli. He was a better blocker and had better hands. He had to deal with bad QB play and being the 4th receiver in '24, and I think he'd likely have outperformed Bohannon in this offense.

And Racanelli was better at blocking and getting separation, faster and stronger than Bohannon from what I saw..
That’s an interesting if not totally wrong take. Bohannon had more catches and more yards and was as fast and strong as Racannelli and he ran good routes.
I say that as a fan of Sawyers.

Truth is we will never know. You could “if” this thing to death.
But you know the thing about “if” is…right?

Glad he started some games. When I saw he wasn't playing early in season, I pretty much stopped following him. Thx.

maybe he figured it was better to try and fail, than not try at all?
Very cerebral. Good point. 70 years from now, on his deathbed, he can look back he can look back with pride, or scorn, and tell the gathered family what he was thinking at the time.
  • Samuel Beckett: "Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better."

  • Theodore Roosevelt: "It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed."

  • Nicole Krauss: "Better to try and fail than not to try at all."

  • Robert H. Schuller: "I'd rather attempt to do something great and fail, than to attempt nothing and succeed."

Alfred Lord Tennyson (paraphrased): "It's better to have tried and failed than to live life wondering what would've happened if I had tried."

Thomas Edison: I didn’t fail 3,000 times. I just invented 3,000 ways NOT to build a light bulb.

Or something to that effect.
