Savannah State

From what I have gleaned from the local papers that also cover Savannah and Augusta, apart from hurricane related news, the young guys at Savannah State are excited to play what they still consider a powerhouse FCS team. I doubt few of them have seen a mountain. But, they fully expect to win. The school president has chosen to move to Div II. Historically Black Colleges have to watch their budgets very closely. They would love to close out their last two years of Div 1 with winning records. Their area was flooded so they are bused to U of N. Ga. They are fighting some big things....I hope the crowd at Montana shows them ALL a good time.

No, no it was not.

Everyone knows what you were saying....dont be a f***[*]
The only f***[*] here are you and Everett. All Kem was saying is simple reality, why do you both have to avoid that like the plague and try to fuel inject your agenda into every poster that disagrees with your misguided talent assessments?

Don't answer that was rhetorical

I dont have an agenda....my agenda is hoping the best for this staff and team...

Recently this place has become something of a site for conspiracy theorists who want nothing more than for Stitt to fail....I dont get it.
People don't want Stitt to fail! He is failing! Keep hoping though it's working like a charm.

I have no agenda, Man. What I do have is lack of tolerance for those who spout incorrect information in an attempt to advance theirs.

The reason we are playing Savannah is because we had a home and home scheduled with McNeese State, which fell through when App moved to FBS as it was part of a 3-school deal with them. That left Kent scrambling to fill a date which the vast majority of programs had filled years ago. Rather than schedule a DII which he could have done far easier and for far less cost, he busted his ass to get a FCS program to Missoula. Stating as Kem did that SSU was scheduled to pad the W-L resume to keep Stitt around shows a ridiculous lack of knowledge at a minimum, and more than likely suggests an obvious attempt to push an agenda Kem has been for months.

I don't know one poster on this board, who has an agenda to push..

After all evening of trying to find information all I have is, They play football in a multiple D and Multiple O and they were really excited about last years three win season the best they ever had. The best player they have on offense is a SR wide receiver that had 317 yards last year and 2 TD. The heaviest Olineman is 295 most around 260-280 range and young. They are way undersized, and under skilled. APP State picked them apart passing and dominated on defense. Way more of a mismatch than VALPO. If the Griz can't take them to the woodshed like UW did to MT then we are in serious trouble. Should be a score fest SAT.

OL SR 6'2 320, SR 6'4" 306, SR 6'5" 300, FR 6'7" 330
DL 265-285-285-300
LB 255-250-225-220
RB 230-250-250-210
WR 6'7" 210, SR 6'5" 240
Don't think they are too small.

That didn't match the roster I found. Maybe I have bad or old info

*you are correct. I had a Spring Roster*

I looked at their online Athletic site. Lots of RBs, their stats were about 200 YRDs total against App. St.
They gave up over 600 YRDs, they might not be the most disciplined team according to some of the quotes. Doubt they will play tight...seem to be free spirited. If they stay disciplined they could be tough.

I dont think hes failing. I dont think you can have a good barometer on how hes doing until the end of this season...and even more so next season.

And, again, why wouldn't you want to play a "lower tier" FCS team so it "counts" toward the magic number for the playoffs that doesn't exist. I wholeheartedly agree with this game, for whatever reason it was scheduled. I remember when the App St move up created this problem, and glad Kent did what he did to schedule this game. I'd much rather have MVSU, Savannah St, how about a Grambling, an Ivy League (when is that one again?), than have NorthEastPhiladelphiaTech play in Missoula.

Would people please stop using the fucking word "agenda?"

It's gotten literally ridiculous, right up there with "chipper."

I totally agree. Along with that, the term "go deep into the playoffs" drives me nuts..Why not just say "advance"? Agenda wise, or not.

I don't think anyone is hoping for failure, especially for the sake of the athletes, although with last season and not much to get excited about this season, if there is failure, it will be on coach Stitt

Wish going deeper was a problem I had...wait, what?!

Why is there not much to be excited for this season? Because we got dominated by the best team Montana has ever played in recent memory?
