Sam Alford in Portal

I’m guessing a few were told it was best to move on. Probably 3-4 more backups. I was excited for Sam to have a breakout year, just could never crack the 2 deep

When healthy he flashed some great speed, hands, and awareness. Two spring camps in a row with knee injuries and then he was in the rehab group this whole spring, again with a knee wrapped. Some guys just have real unlucky runs.

I think if healthy he'd be in our starting group. Hope he can get those knees in playing shape and can show off his skill. Bummed he's leaving but I understand it, a fresh start is probably for the best.

He has been on my players to watch list the past 2 years, but like you said could never stay healthy. I was super excited for him to play this year, but a new start is probably better for him.
