Tonight on ESPN Tulane visits Houston. That is, per Sagarin, #63 at #70.
We're at #59.
We're also ahead of these schools who represent major conferences throughout the country:
North Carolina 60
South Carolina 62
Boise State 65
Duke 68
Arizona 69
Fresno St. 71
Arizona 74
Marshall 82
Wyoming 89
Nebraska 94
Rutgers 102
Northwestern 105

Just sayin'.

There's just no way we could ever compete at that level. Why, we're just lil ol' Montany with no people and no money.

Sagarin probably ranks UM that high, because of UM's easy schedule.

Just think how much higher we would be ranked if we scheduled better teams. With a team as talented as the Griz, it would be interesting to see how many FBS teams we would beat if provided the opportunity.

Here is a what if possible solution to the non conference scheduling problem experienced by both FBS and FCS teams. Before conference play begins, pick 5 FBS teams and 5 FCS teams based on the previous years rankings. Have them play a round robin tournament and play a double elimination. Format and rules developed by the NCAA with committee representation from FBS and FCS.
