Sad trends to ponder

1. Bunch of transfers, drop downs and freshmen next year. Not the way to build and sustain a program.

2. Good running backs but no running game. Can not win if you can not run.

3. Good defensive players but we can't stop the run. Can not win if you can't stop a one-demensional offense.

4. Play calling is suspect. We don't have innovation. We have stagnation. We showed no adaptation and even down and distance awareness was questionable.

5. I don't see team unity. I see personal fouls, scuffles and irritation, not support and team heart. This is the worst thing to my thinking. Coaches are not getting the best out their players.

6. We are worse than last year. No Griz coach in the past 30+ years has regressed this fast. We lost back to back must-win games against awful teams.

7. Keep Green. Keep Selle. We need some Griz heart in there. Maybe some others, I don't know. But I don't think its going to get better next year.

As I have repeatedly asked, and began asking last year, WHERE IS IT? The "innovative" offense, the "genius" play, the "complex" game play that required an oh-so-special QB?

Sadly, it won't.

No Griz coach the past 30 years was a DII coach for most of his HC career. The last time we did this experiment, Griz hired Gene Carlson from a Great Falls high school and Lou Rocheleu from Sentinel.

Both dismal fails.

Trying to decide if I should get in line early tomorrow to turn in my playoff ticket order or just mail it in. Any suggestions?
