Whether true or not, I don't believe that this will have much basis on the race. MSU is not out by any stretch, and until I see other results to the contrary, Sac is not in it. As far as I'm concerned, this game was "luck" all the way.
Agreed with you on the "luck" thing, SH. I was there and I still can't believe we won. We shot 38% for the game and 69% from the free throw line. MSU's shooting was hurrendous enough for us to overcome that. I think Durham was like 0-8 or something.
As for the fouls, there was a point in the first half where SAC had been charged with 7 (including 2 technicals) and MSU only 1. There were a total of FOUR technicals called in this game: One for hanging on the rim (questionable) and three for taunting (REEE-TAR-DEAD). The game wasn't even overly physical or out of hand, yet the refs still managed to call FORTY-FIVE fouls in total.
I was in Casey Durham's head though. I told him that he was adopted and I think it really shook him. I kept yelling out 0-2 Casey! 0-3 Casey! 0-4 Casey! 0-5 Casey, and so forth. Also, I think he was hurt at the fact I suggested his father parted ways with MSU Basketball to spend more time on Brokeback Mountain. Then I proceeded to say "Why can't I quit you Casey Durham!"
Anyways, fun game... It was a fluke. Jenkins is finished. Taylor and McGhee were studs.
