Griz pull starters at beginning of 4th qtr and just play gentelmans ball not running up the score and Sac state on last drive is acting like playing for super bowl when the game was better than over. I say we just put the boots to them. Whats everyone's else thoughts ?

Win with class or lose with class. Represent the University of Montana. For God's sake we're not animals like Beau Baldwin.

No sense leaving our starters in and you have to expect Sac to keep trying to score. However, I did think their onside kick was a bit questionable.

this, and why risk injury when the game is in the bag ?

Considering how injuries have crippled the Griz this year ... why take any chances? Being gentlemen and "classy" is a good thing, but even if you weren't feeling that way, keeping your (surviving) starters in would be just stupid. Not to mention that you can build depth if the injury bug keeps showing up.

Maybe a stupid thread, but I have to be honest, I was thinking the same thing. I wanted our D to pitch a shut out as far TDs go. I also believe, when the game is basically over, you let the other kids play. Ultimately, I am glad the Griz won with class.

I didn't want to give up the TD either, especially since a) they put up 48 on us last year and b) the announcers were talking about how long it's been since Suck St. scored in single digits...but I'd actually rather give up the points and let our 2/3's play against and get a feel for 1st team speed/talent than be playing against THEIR 2's and 3's...

So it is OK for you to want them to be kept out of the end zone but not OK for them to want to get into the end zone?

When the game is out of hand in your favor, you absolutely put your 2's and 3's in the game.

You reward these hard-working, deserving young men for their EXTREME effort all year long :!: That is if you want them to work hard getting your 1's ready the next week and the rest of the season for that matter.

Your back-ups are next years stars, so give them a taste! That will only make them hungrier... and hence the team better.
