we are not the only one who had an off day. 20-17 right now in 3rd

It is not an off-day. We have serious issues going on with this team. 4 turnovers. 12 penalties. Anyone notice the body language of Akem the past couple of games. He looks totally disengaged. Early in the third quarter Brown threw a slant route to Akem, which was knocked down by the defender for an in-completion. When they re-played it, you could see Sammy running half-speed on the route. He had another two drops today, one from CAM which would have given us the ball inside the 5. The second was a tougher catch in the end zone, and Akem got both hands on the ball but dropped it. He has to catch that pass. Great receivers make that catch. I assure your Grossman or Roberts would have caught it!

I made the same observation of #18 several games ago. Maybe its just his personality. He plays like he's stoned. Not the same effort as I saw last year. Maybe Toure saw something in this team that made him WANT to go to Nebraska.

On the first play in question, Sammy had a step on the defender. Brown threw the ball late and at Sammy’s left (trailing) shoulder. If Brown had made his decision at the correct time (so the defender couldn’t make up ground) and put the ball where the defender couldn’t reach it (in FRONT of Sammy) it’s an easy catch and I believe Sammy makes it 99/100 times. As it as, Brown’s indecision and inaccuracy allowed the defender to make (what appeared to be) a good defensive play.

Now, the long one? That was totally on Sammy. He had both hands on that ball. Yeah, the defender was pulling on his arm, but he had both hands on the ball.
