This surprised me. Was looking at some stats over the weekend and this floored me.
Last year (2016) with a very immobile QB and a supposedly inferior offensive line the Griz averaged 4.4 yards per rush with Nguyen averaging 4.6 yards per attempt and Calhoun averaging 7.2 yards per attempt.
This year (2017) with 4 seniors on the Oline and all this talk of DOLA and way more mobile QB's we averaged 3.7 yards per carry with Calhoun dropping to 4.3 yards per carry and Lee at 4.0 yards per carry.
Could it be that maybe the other defensive coordinators have figured out that we basically run the same running play 80% of the time????
