It's worse than that, I'm afraid. I caught a handful of their games this season, and on a number of occasions counted 17 players on the field. How the hell they get away with that shit is beyond me. SAD!

They do eventually have to cut down to 105 though at certain points of season:

“NCAA rules allow for 105 players to be rostered before the first day of class or the first game, whichever comes first. When school is in session, there is no limit to the number of players on the roster”

Correct. But, I'm still amazed they are able to keep that many kids "interested" when well over half won't see the field.

Agree. Also at play is NDSU participates in Cost of Attemdamce, so unless they are all walk ons, that adds up in $ too.

Dylan Cook is also on the roster as a big OL (you may recall him as a very good QB from Butte High who went to Northern last year). He is now 290 lbs and on the Griz OL.

So I was just thinking about what kind of trick play you could run with an OL who is a QB?????
