Roots Has High Praise for the Griz

Roots Sports said Griz looked like a team that could win a national championship.

Later in a different segment, Roots said the Griz were as hot as any team in the playoffs. Said it doesn't matter what a team's record is; what's important is how hot a team is in the playoffs.

Hope they're right.

EWU is first team other than UM to win the Big Sky outright since 1997.

I saw that too. I wish ESPN would sell the broadcast rights for the FCS playoff games Root. They do good work.

Yea, Root is doing a really good job this year. Plus i like being able to watch the re-runs during the week........

One thing the Griz have going for them is the whole second half of the year has seemed like a must-win playoff atmosphere, this team doesn't fold at the end of games and that will help come playoff time. And I thought the defense played very well again today and is looking better than it had early in the year...maybe this team is close to putting it all together.

I don't know how far they will make it in the playoffs, but they won't be an easy out.
