I think the statement must have referred to the injury. They may have thought they'd learn more about the severity ("later") ... and didn't.

I'm sure that's what they were referring too but unfortunately if you look at the whole picture much went wrong today that had nothing to do with JJ being out. Much of it went wrong when he was in.
