Root Sports Stream?

I was just going through the schedule this season and setting up my streaming options (out of state and have no cable). To get the Root games last year I used DirecTV Now (which was recently rebranded to AT&T TV Now). However I don't see Root on any of their channel line ups. Clicking the stream option from the gogriz calendar takes me to same website (directv now / at&t tv now). Do we have any confirmation that Root will be on this service for the games? Going to Root directly they want me to have a traditional cable package to attempt to stream. Being out of state I suspect that will end with them telling me I'm out of their service area.

according to an article, I read earlier this year they are supposed to be nationwide on that service by viewing the audience network which is also going to simulcast the Root Sports Stream on Direct TV. So if you have Direct you can still get the game on the Audience network even out of area.

The Root channel is not a part of any of their premium packages. Although Audience network is a part of all packages $70 and above, I can't verify if all Big Sky games will be simulcast on the Audience Network.

Go to this link: https://www.atttvnow.com/

Click on the Max package or click on other packages

Also, at the bottom of the page is a link to check local sports channels.

Found this little Gem:

"This year marks the eighth year of a partnership between ROOT Sports and the Big Sky Conference. All 10 Big Sky Conference football games will be produced and televised in high-definition, and available for fans to watch on ROOT Sports and all six University of Montana games will be available on AT&T SportsNet."

Nice info, men :thumb: This short thread has given us a definitive answer on how to watch all of the Griz Root Sports games this year. It's nice we can put this question to bed before the season starts and we won't have to hear any more questions about tv/toaster schedules for Griz games for the rest of 2019.

Well done

Ursa Major & Mr Mischief,

Unless you have cable and a TV provider that carries AT&T sports you will not be able to watch Root Sports or any of the Griz FB games on AT&T SportsNet per their website. SportsNet does not provide a direct stream feed for a fee.

AT&TWatchTV and DirectTVNow are still the best options again this year on their Audience channel. Last year their Audience channel carried all the Root Sports Griz FB games. AT&TWatchTV on their Audience channel last year didn't post the Griz FB games till several days prior to the game.

If someone knows something different & better please post the option for out of staters who cut their cable line.

out of State your best bet might be Pluto TV. Roku is the easiest but you can cast from mobile devices:

https://pluto.tv/live-tv/bet-pluto-tv

I think its channel 530

Son of... Dammit you're right. It's on Audience on DirecTV (and DirecTV Now / AT&T TV Now) as a simulcast. Same as last year I just completely forgot that. That channel is available on the DirectTV Now / AT&T TV Now's lowest package at $50 / mo (which also includes HBO it looks like). Thank you! Now I just need to hunt down a free trial again.

Excellant! Glad we have got this all covered now! So I guess this will be the final post on where to watch Griz games for the 2019 season.

Go Griz!!
