Just a couple of weeks after taking the torch, he bounces. How many kids leave with him? Does the Montana kid STILL want to commit there?

As the sands through the hourglass, so are the days of Griz lives.

Wow. This is an interesting move. Unless he was promised the head job in a year or two, this seems....odd.

Seems like an odd move for Roehl - a step down, seemingly. But I guess it's understandable that since he was just passed up for the head coaching job in Fargo, he would probably like to get out of town and try to find another avenue into head coaching.

I ventured over to their board. Consensus seems to be that he needed to get out and have experience elsewhere on his resume if he wanted to move up.

Seems like a lateral move but more of a fresh start I think. Being an assistant head coach to Eddie George will have some perks as well. More connections and better shot at the next opening. Players seemed to love him and wanted him as head coach. I bet some will explore other options.

Don't see any player leaving NDSU for Tennessee state.

Someone else would know better than me, but I thought players could only transfer for 30 days with a head coaching change, not a coordinator?

I know TR and this wasn't surprising at all.

Lots of our fans think hes trying to get the NDSU job in the future and that is not exactly true. TR loves NDSU but there is 1 other other FCS job he would GLADLY take over NDSU.

Players can enter the Portal to transfer anytime they want, it it's open. The NCAA has tried to create a one-time transfer/no-sit rule, but that rule got nailed in court recently. Graduates can enter portal and transfer anytime, and don't have to sit a year. I believe non-scholarship players can transfer anytime and not have to sit out. The coach departing rule is something separate and in addition. It's head coach, to my knowledge. I don't know what that rule says exactly.

Oh come ON! You can't just come onto another team's board and post gibberish and not a finished product!
