Robinson Out

Hopefully Bobby will announce our new OC in the next couple of days so potential recruits will know what type of offense we are running and who their offensive coaches will be. I am thinking that getting the OC and offensive coaches in place right away would really help recruiting for the skill positions on offense.

That being said when you look at our current commitments we are already pretty heavy on the offensive side of the ball (2 RB - White & Turner, 2 OL Ganoung & Anderson, 2 WR Sulser & Germer, 2 TE Curry & Morris) vs. defensive commits (DE - Brown, CB - Johnson, S - Fouch Pepe, Koppang) with Quick probably going to the defensive side of the ball (just my guess) and now also throw in Robby Hauck at safety.

My guess is Bobby looked at what we already have for commits and the fact that Jensen will only be a sophomore and thought shit I need some defensive tackles and linebackers!!!!

Any chance Nagler might get moved to the defensive side of the ball, with his size he could be a defensive end with some work in the weight room?

Must have found out who Bobby Hauck really is :thumb:

A coach that doesn't want to throw 50 times per game...

Insert QB Garrett Graves from Lincoln County High School - Eureka.

Garrett would be better used on defense. He is a future All-Big Sky outside linebacker/safety. Just my opinion.

I believe he could play QB for the Griz. Yes, he would make an awesome safety or linebacker as well. Graves is a very strong leader who wins. Never seen a kid with such a drive to win!

Hauck Stated at the presser that "We will sign a QB and a RB every year."

Yep, I realize that. Just saying now that we have the Robinson de-commit we probably have little chance of signing a quality QB until we have the offensive coaches in place. Which Bobby also said might take until after the first of the year which puts us past the 12/20 early signing date.

I agree. I just don't want him to get stuck in a situation where he has to stay on the sidelines (offense) when he could be flying around hitting people (defense). Do I think he can surpass the competition at QB? Of course. But I just think his skillset is better used on defense. He has length, he's smart, and loves to hit. A great trio.

A solid running game is a quarterback’s best friend. If a quarterback blanches at the thought of having to share the glory....move on young man and best wishes.
