Robby Hauck

This thread sucks. RH is an All American. Few play harder for the Griz.

Sure he has some faults, but his passion for Griz excellence should not be questioned.

Where's Alpha when you need him. Isn't this thread all about what Alpha was saying years ago?

A man before his time.

For the record, I couldn't hold Robby's jock. Kids in a tough spot.

Alpha not needed here. What a rotten puke.

Everyone likes to pick on Robby for his faults, but I didn't see anyone else play perfect football game in and game out. He is just the easy target for many.

All-American?!? Pretty much diminishes the meaning of the word. He’s a joke.

Dude plays hard...every play. Much respect from me.

Agreed. I've said it many times. I will never criticize kids who deliver this product. Very impressed with them all. It's a lot to ask from them and they deliver.

Now, his dad's another matter.

This has been his most consistent season so far, too. If you don't like coach Hauck, it's an easy extension to hate on his kid, too.

You know what else works hard, a washing machine. Robby is a joke. And had he come here without daddy, would barely have seen the field.

This I completely agree with. The kid brings it. I do think he is a bit overrated but he plays harder than anyone on this team. But I cannot stand coach Hauck. I think he is a very good special teams coach but he is an insufferable prick and I don't think he is a very good representative of this university.

Was Robby the best safety we've ever had? No, I don't think so.

However this kid worked his ass off and helped usher in a returned era where this defense helped to gain it's edge and physical nature again. Yes we can fully dissect that this defense has had issues in big games and against best opponents but before Robby (and Bobby) was here I don't know if our prior defense had that identity in hardly any game.

Robby is a hitter, he sacrifices all he has on the field, he's a leader in the defense. His attitude and effort helped bring back this group and we all know that edge has been pivotal in many games (not today, ugh).

Don't hate on the kid. I'm glad he came here and I'm happy for what he was able to accomplish over the years.

the kid bled maroon and silver.

50+ straight games is damn tough to do for anybody and their body. He’s a tough kid and definitely has the attitude we need to get swagger back on this team. He hits hard especially when he’s giving up 50-75 lbs on a lot of guys. He’s good on run fits and though a lot of guys claim he jumps on the pile, just like all our defense he is taught to rally around the ball. He’s made a lot of great open field tackles as the last line of defense. My knocks are that he is often a little too chippy after the whistle which costs us at times and he lacks a little in pass coverage at times which is usually made up for by putting pressure on the qb.

I swear a lot of guys on this board would criticize their mothers for the way they gave birth to themselves given the opportunity. Hoping at some point it becomes a lot less pissing and moaning and more constructive discussion.

I have watched Robby during his time as a Griz and am not a fan. He gets more than his share of personal foul penalties one of which greatly contributed to a touchdown today.
He misses more tackles than most and has the tendency to arm tackle.
He likes to leg whip.
But mostly I dislike his mouth and constantly smack talking the opponents during the game.

Hauck is a terrific tackler and hard hitter. He doesn’t miss many tackles, for the amount he’s involved in.

All you can ask is for the kid to give 100% and Robby gave 110%. Left everything on the field.

Not to stick up for the kid, but wasn't be seeing the field as a true freshman in NAU playing for Jerome?
