Roads from Bozeman

I drove back to Bozangeles from Missoula today. The roads were perfectly fine to Deer Lodge and then they got a little hairy. They got much worse from Butte to Bozeman. I only saw snow plows in homestake pass, and they did a good job of keeping that in decent shape.

The snow plows decided not to touch anything else from the pass to Bozeman. Snow covering both lanes, compacted, ice, and idiot drivers. I have a Subaru which may as well be a snow mobile so I'm lucky. I went easily and safely along about 50-55 mph. Others were going 25 and some going too fast at 65-70 (as I saw them in the ditch later with hwy patrol). It's snowing now again pretty heavily in bozeman so I hope they clean it up.

Safe travels tomorrow Griz Nation. I'll be there as long as the Subi continues to cooperate!

PS bozeman and butte seemed to get a heck of a lot more snow than Missoula

Watch out for the Wheelers because that road is just like Return to Oz!

The 3 Forks area received anywhere from 15 to 20 inches of snow and it is still snowing. It is pretty slow going on the freeway around here.
