Does any body know what Dave's career numbers would be if his playoff stats were added to his totals. Also, what would it take to get the FCS to go back and make those changes? It wouldn't be too hard with some old box scores, a calculator, and an eraser. C'mon FCS, get it done. I'm sick of all these wannabe greatest evers pretending they are better then Dave when they know they're not. I'm sure we would have some receivers challange some single season marks also. Sorry Mariani but you might fall of our #1 spot.

I agree that it's silly they started letting them count playoff stats, but didn't go back and figure it in for past players.

Amazing how even without his playoff totals, DD is still above and beyond the best QB either program has ever seen.

From Kim Briggeman's Year of the Griz

Some quick math says:

Totals

G/GS: 42/37

Completions: 1015

Attempts: 1477

Percentage: 68.7%

Int: 28

TDs: 116

Yards: 13,486

All in 3 years and usually 3 quarters worth of work.

Also, his playoff numbers are out of this world.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it. :thumb:

If you're worried about old records counting playoffs, you might like to know Marc would drop in our receiving category if Wells and Douglass could count the hundreds they racked up in the playoffs.

Currently Matt Nichols of East Wash is the career leader with 12,616. Dave would be over 800 yards ahead of him. He would regain sole possession of 1st in td instead of tied with Nichols. His completions would jump back ahead also. Att is the only record Nichols would keep. The most amazing would be his single season yardage mark would pass Jaime Martin by about 1300 yards and touchdowns would pass Ah Yat by 9 with 51. Amazing! Unfortunately he wouldn't own FCS records cus Steve McNair has the yardage record at 14,496 not counting playoff games if Alcorn State played in any and the TD mark is 140 owned by Bruce Eugene oh Grambling.

Now that we've clearly reestablished him as the best ever in th BSC, how do we go about making it official?
